Sweet Potato Cham Cham

Recipe card for Sweet Potato Cham Cham:

Preparation Time : 5mins 

Cooking Time: 35mins - 40 mins

Serves: 12-15 pieces

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams sweet potato

  • 6-8 tsp powdered sugar (can be differ acc to taste)

  • 4 tsp milk powder

  • 5 tbsp desiccated coconut (1 tbsp for mixing and 4 tbsp for garnish)

  • 2 tsp ghee

  • 1/2 tsp rock salt

  • pistachio and almonds for garnish 

  • 2 glasses water boil

Instruction:

  1. Rinse the sweet potatoes thoroughly in water.

  2. Take 2 glasses of water in a vessel and add salt.

  3. Add chopped sweet potatoes and boil. 

  4. Boil until its soft enough and insert a stick to make sure it enters smoothly. 

  5. Turn off the flame and drain the water.

  6. Let the sweet potatoes cool down.

  7. Peel the skin of the sweet potatoes and grate them.

  8. Take a mixing bowl and add the grated sweet potatoes, powdered sugar, desiccated coconut, milk powder and ghee.

  9. Mix all of them together to form a nice soft dough,

  10. Grease your hands with some ghee.

  11. Pinch small portion of the dough at a time and roll it in cylindrical shape and keep it aside.

  12. Now roll it in desiccated coconut to a get a nice covering.

  13. Top it with some slices pistachios and almonds .

  14. Now the Sweet Potato Cham Cham is ready to be served.
