Banana Chilly/Pepper Palya

Ingredients:
-
​8 banana chilies cubed
-
1 tsp cumin powder
-
1 tsp red chilly flakes (optional)
-
3 tsp oil
-
1 tsp mustard seeds
For Mixer:
-
2 tsp fried gram
-
10 curry leaves
-
6 cloves garlic
-
2 tbsp dry coconut
-
salt (as per taste)

Instruction:
-
Heat oil in a saucepan and splutter the mustard seeds.

Add banana chilly cubes and fry on medium flame until soft.

Meanwhile grind the following in a mixing jar to a coarse powder: fried gram, curry leaves, garlic, dry coconut and salt.

Once the chillies are soft , add in jeera powder, grounded powder and mix well.

Add red chilly flakes if required according to your taste and combine well.

Turn off the flame and serve hot with steamed rice along with a spoon of ghee.
