Raw Banana Cutlet

Recipe card for Raw Banana Cutlet:

Preparation Time : 10 mins 

Cooking Time: 35 mins - 40 mins

Serves: 12 pieces

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium size raw banana (boiled and grated)

  • 1/2 capsicum chopped 

  • 2 carrot grated

  • 6 green chilly chopped 

  • 1 big onion chopped

  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste 

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp red chilly powder

  • 1 tbsp coriander leaves chopped

  • 1/2 lemon juice 

  • salt (as per taste)

  • water (for boiling)

  • 100 gms rusk powder

  • 4 tsp oil (for frying and roasting)

Instruction:

  1. Pressure cook raw banana for 1 whistle.

  2. Release the pressure and peel the skin.

  3. Let it cool down completely and grate it.

  4. Heat 2 tsp oil in a saucepan and add green chilies.

  5. Add chopped capsicum, onions and saute till soft.

  6. Add grated carrot and saute for 2 mins.

  7. Add red chilly powder, coriander, salt and fry for 3 mins.

  8. Add grated raw banana and mix well to combine all the spices.

  9. Turn off the flame, add some chopped coriander leaves and squeeze half a lemon.

  10. Set aside the masala mix and cool it completely.

  11. Add 2 tbsp rusk powder for the masala mix and combine well.

  12. Take a portion of the masala mix and make round flat patties.

  13. Coat the patties with the rusk powder.

  14. Roast the patties on the heated pan by adding oil.

  15. Flip over and roast on both sides.

  16. Serve hot with mint chutney.
