Sabudana Soup/Healthy Diet Soup

Recipe card for Sabudana Soup:

Preparation Time : 10 mins 

Cooking Time: 30 mins - 35 mins

Serves: 4-5 bowls

Ingredients:

For Soaking:

  • 1/2 cup sabudana (nylon/small)

  • 1 cup water 

For Frying:

  • 4 green chilies

  • 1 big onion finely chopped

  • 3 tsp oil 

  • 1 tsp mustard seeds

  • 1/2 cup water to sprinkle

  • 1 cup curd 

  • 3 cups water

  • 2 tbsp coriander finely chopped

  • salt as per taste

Instruction:

  1. Soak the sabudana(nylon) in water for 5 hours.

  2. Take a kadai, heat some oil and add mustard seeds, let it it splutter.

  3. Add green chilly, onions and saute till soft.

  4. Add in soaked and strained sabudana 

  5. Keep stiring it to make sure it does not stick to the kadai .

  6. Take half a glass of water and keep sprinkling it every 2 mins,keep stiring .

  7. Turn off the flame and let it cool completely.

  8. Take a mixing jar, add curd and whip it for four to five times.

  9. Transfer the curd to a large mixing bowl and add 3 cups of water.

  10. Add chopped coriander to the curd and mix well.

  11. Transfer the cooled sabudana to the curd and well.

  12. Let it rest for 15 mins , so that the sabudana can raise well.

  13. Once it has raised well, it is ready to be served cold.
