Dill Leaves / Sabsige

Pocket Chapathi

Recipe card Dill Leaves/Sabsige Pocket Chapathi:

Preparation Time : 15mins 

Cooking Time: 25mins - 30 mins

Serves: 4-5 pocket chapathis

Ingredients:

    For Dough:

  • 1 cup wheat flour

  • 1/2 tsp sugar

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 3 tsp oil

  • water 

  • 50 gms butter (applying on chapathi)

   

    For Stuffing:

  • 1.5 cup dill leaves/ sabsige finely chopped

  • 1 small capsicum finely chopped

  • 1 tsp red chilly flakes

  • 1/2 tsp salt

Instruction:

  1. In a large bowl mix all the dough ingredients along with water.

  2. Knead well to a smooth and soft dough adding water as required.

  3.  Set aside for 15 mins.

  4. Take another bowl add chopped capsicum,dill leaves/sabsige , chilly flakes and salt.

  5. Mix well to combine all the spices.

  6. Now pinch a small ball sized dough and dustit with the flour.

  7. Roll the dough to flatten and make sure to roll it big and very thin.

  8. Apply butter on the rolled dough evenly.

  9. Spread the dill leaves mix.

  10. Fold the sides and apply butter over again.

  11. Spread the dill leaves mix.

  12. Further fold the other two sides of the chapathi into a pocket and press gently to bind it.

  13. Now on a hot tawa place the pocket and cook for a minute .

  14. Add oil and press slightly on both the sides.

  15. Flip over once or twice till cooked well.

  16. Serve hot with some butter,curd and pickle.
